Recruitment for 15 posts of Junior Assistant in Directorate of Assam Police Head Quarters and 170 Posts of Junior Assistant & 19 Posts of Stenographer (Grade-3) in District Cadre under Assam Police.

 

Short Notification –

Online applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates for filling up of 15 posts of J.Assistant in Directorate of Assam Police Head Quarters and 170 Posts of L.Assistant in district Police Cadre in the pay scale of Rs.14,000-49,000/- (PB-2) with a grade pay of Rs.6200/- and other allowances as admissible under the govt rule and 19 Posts of Stenographer (Grade-3) under district police cadre in the existing pay scale Rs.14,000-49,000/- and Rs.8700/- grade pay with other government allowances. The online applications must be submitted online through SLPRB assam website (www.slprbassam.in) only. Online applications are starts from 4-April-2020, but as the Lockdown in Nation, the process of taking application are stopped until further notice.

(1) Post Name – Junior Assistant in APHQ

Total Posts – 15 nos (Male-11, Female-4)

Note- Though no post is reserved for ST(H) female candidates, however ST(H) female candidates may also appear and will consider for unreserved posts on merit.

 

(2) Post Name – Junior Assistant in District Level

Total Posts – 170 nos (male-119, female-51)

 

(3) Post Name – Stenographer (Grade-3)

Total Posts – 19 (male-12, female-7)

 

Eligibility Criteria –

(i) Nationality – Candidates must be Indian Citizen, ordinarily resident of Assam.

(ii) Age Limit – Minimum 18 years and the upper age limit is 38 years as on 1-January-2020 (Candidate must be born on or before 1-January-2002 and not before 1-January-1982)

Age relaxation – OBC – 3 years, SC/ST – 5 years

Educational Qualification –

(i) Junior Assistant (APHQ/District Level) – Candidates applying for this post must be a graduate in arts, science or commere or equivalent stream from a recognized college or institution affiliated  to a recognized University and must have Diploma in Computer Application.

(ii) Stenographer (Grade-3) District Level) – Candidates must be a graduate in any stream from a recognized College or institutions affiliated to a recognized University and must have Diploma in computer application.

 

How to Apply For The Above Mentioned Posts –

The applications for these posts must be submitted through SLPRB official website www.slprbassam.in. And no other mode of applications will be accepted. And candidates may apply for Junior Assistant of both the cadre in APHQ & District level.

Further candidates having Diploma in Computer Application & Trade certificate in Stenography may apply for all the above mentioned posts. Candidates should submit their first preference, second preference and third preference also.

 

 

Candidates applying for this post required to upload scanned copies of the following documents –

(a) Passport size photograph.

(b) Thumb impression.

(c) Candidates original signature.

(d) Documents –

(i) Certificate for the proof of Age (HSLC Admit/Equivalent exam)

(ii) Graduation certificate.

(iii) Caste certificate.

(iv) Computer Diploma.

 

Selection Process –

Candidates whose application are found correct in all the respect will be called for a written test which will be conducted in district Headquarters or Range (s) or any other convenient venues depending upon the number of candidates applying. Candidates will have to appear for the written test in the venue mentioned in his her Admit Card or Call Letter. However, before entering the examination centre, biometrics of each candidate wil be done.

 

There will be Two phase of Test –

(i) Written Test – The written test will be of 50 marks and will be completely OMR based.

(ii) Practical Test – For Junior Assistant Computer Test only, and for the stenographer post stenography test also.
